Pahrump, Nevada –July 31, 2026, Desert View Hospital is proud to announce the recipients of its
2026 Scholarship Program, awarding a total of $10,000 in scholarships to 10 deserving individuals
from the local community. The recipients include five high school students and five adult learners
pursuing higher education in healthcare, behavioral health, social services, and other specialized
fields.
The scholarship program reflects Desert View Hospital’s commitment to supporting education,
workforce development, and the future success of the communities we serve.
The 2026 Scholarship Recipients are:

- Benjamin De Santiago – Concordia University Irvine | Psychology
- Brandon Comstock – Great Basin College | Social Work
- Briara McKeough Marquez – Great Basin College | Social Work
- Emalee York Bolling – Washington State University | Food Science
- KayLee Freitas – Touro University | Physician Assistant Studies
- Leonel Gallegos Farias – Great Basin College | Radiologic Technology
- Michael Quatrrocchi – Liberty University | Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
- Stephanie Jimenez Montoya – Great Basin College | Nursing
- Timothy Stutzman – Kent State University | Orthodontics
“Our scholarship recipients represent the future of our community,” said Susan Davila, Chief
Executive Officer of Desert View Hospital. “Their dedication to education, perseverance in pursuing
their goals, and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others are truly inspiring. We are
honored to invest in these students and adult learners and look forward to seeing the positive
impact they will make in healthcare, social services, and many other professions.”
Education and workforce development remain a key focus for Desert View Hospital. In addition to
providing scholarships, the hospital actively supports local healthcare training programs by hosting
Great Basin College Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students, providing hands-on learning
opportunities and clinical experiences as they complete their coursework and practical training
requirements.
Desert View Hospital also operates one of the largest Nurse Apprentice programs in the State of
Nevada, helping nursing students gain valuable real-world experience while developing the next
generation of healthcare professionals. These programs create pathways for students to learn,
grow, and ultimately serve their communities through rewarding careers in healthcare.
