This year’s 4th of July meant more than just fireworks (Although those were pretty great, Right Tamara? Kachow!) It also marked the beginning of a new chapter for Pahrump Life, the 2 year anniversary of The Calvada Marketplace… and all wrapped up into the 250 year birthday of our country.
On July 4, 2026, we proudly relaunched Pahrump Life Magazine by hosting the Community Market at Calvada Marketplace, bringing together local vendors, families, shoppers, and community partners for an afternoon focused on supporting everything that makes Pahrump special. The event was promoted through a series of patriotic advertisements leading up to Independence Day, inviting residents to celebrate with local businesses, giveaways, food vendors, crafters, and family activities.
Our goal was simple: create a place where neighbors could connect, discover local businesses, and celebrate the spirit of small-town America. Calvada Marketplace’s two-year anniversary provided the perfect backdrop for launching the next era of Pahrump Life, and together we created an event centered around community rather than just commerce.
Visitors enjoyed browsing vendor booths, participating in our retro-themed scavenger hunt and giveaway, cooling off at the hydration station sponsored by Lowside Cigar Lounge, and picking up the newest issue of Pahrump Life Magazine as we officially reintroduced the publication to the community. The event also highlighted our partnership with Roots 66, reflecting our commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs, creators, and small businesses throughout the valley. Whisquila Creations also helped sponsor. Back the Lane and Desert Delights sponsored our scavenger hunt!

Speaking of scavenger hunts, how many little plastic balls did your children find in our vending machines with prizes. How fun!
This was only the beginning of our fun and community driven focus. Our staff were out all day signing copies of the magazine with Kathie McKenna on the cover! What a fun article to write!

As Pahrump Life continues to grow, we’ll be expanding our community focus, launching new events, publishing more local stories, and creating even more opportunities for residents and businesses to connect.
Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, became a vendor, shared our promotions, or simply stopped by to say hello. Your support made the relaunch a success, and we’re excited to continue building something special for Pahrump.
